Experts Doubt Foreign Investments into Russian Property

Market players doubt that growth of investments into the commercial real estate in Russia is caused by the inflow of the foreign capital.
Participants of the Russian market disagree with the opinion that growth of investments into the commercial real estate in the Russian Federation is caused by inflow of the foreign capital. On Thursday the senior executive director of Cushman and Wakefield Stiles and Riabokobylko law company Sergey Rjabokobylko said to the journalists that the share of foreign investments into the commercial real estate in Russia according to the results of the three quarters of the current year has made 62%.
As Interfax-Real Estate’s correspondent was informed in the Department on a Competitive Policy of Moscow (Tender committee) foreign investors show the basic interest to construction of power stations and trading complexes.
“In 2006 about 10 % of the companies that have full or partial foreign capital have already taken part in tenders”, - aperson in the department has told the media agency.
As he said, the total volume of investment in the capital’s sector of the commercial real estate has already made $1,5-2 billion this year.
